Greetings all!
Please
allow me to thank all of those who have already volunteered in many ways for
our campaigns, and for the Tuesday, November 3, 2015 elections. We have much more to do however and need many
more volunteers. Please email me at ewhitlock@lawplc.com to volunteer. You can also contact the campaigns directly. You
can visit the unified Henrico Republican campaign office: “TEAMGOP Victory
Office” at 3163 Lauderdale Drive, Henrico, Virginia 23233.
On November
3, 2015, we have important elections for our local government (Commonwealth’s
Attorney, Sheriff, Clerk of Court, Board of Supervisors and School Board) as
well as our General Assembly (Senate and House of Delegates). Today the blog will feature Delegate Jimmie
Massie. Jimmie represents the 72nd District, covering part of Henrico
County. Jimmie serves on three
significant committees in the House: The Appropriations Committee - which writes the balanced state budget, The Education Committee - which considers all matters concerning K-12
and higher public education, and The Rules Committee - which determines House procedures.
Furthermore, Jimmie chairs two important subcommittees: Elementary &
Secondary Education of Appropriations and Higher Education for the Education
Committee. Jimmie also serves on the Joint Legislative and Audit Review Commission ("JLARC") which provides legislative
oversight of all state agencies.
"As a businessman, I know the
economy, job growth and wages are not growing anywhere close to what they
should be! As such, I remain laser like focused on improving Virginia's
economic performance! I am also focused on K-12 and higher education, as well
as health care. You can be assured that I will continue to put
my fifty plus years of family, business and legislative experience to work for
you. I will advance and protect a Common Sense Conservative Agenda of lower
taxes with less borrowing and less spending, schools that deliver an excellent
education at a reasonable cost, safer neighborhoods, the control of illegal
immigration, a lower cost and higher level of service health care system, and
more pro-family legislation."
